Thank you for stopping by our corner of the web. We look forward to working with you.
The mission statement at the top of this page continues to be the standard we work to.
Steve's father is a retired high school woodshop teacher. From him we learned traditional,
time honored techniques. (Later, Steve was an parttime instructor at the local community college
in the wood program.) Over the years since, we've incorporated new techniques,
tools and materials if they would improve the finished piece. Quality is paramount.
Lynn has spent most of her professional life in retail management. Her specialities include customer
service, first and foremost with an emphasis in fabrics and home decor. She has a great eye for design, color and patterns.
Part of her background involved years in a resturant, so her ideas on kitchen design are well founded.
The work shown on the following pages represents some of the one-of-a-kind, custom woodwork
fabricated on the side over 30 years of running a furniture manufacturing business.
That business involved 8 lines of furnishings, in 5 woods, 5 standard finishes and 4-5 sizes
of each, produced by as many as 22 employees at a time.
We can't show you that furniture due to the sale of that business and a non-competition clause.
This custom work has evolved from our own designs, the creations of architects and
interior designers, and collabations with homeowners. We work in a variety of styles, woods
and finishes. Local, traditional and exotic hardwoods are available.
The following pages show some of our work, photography by us (we're woodworkers, not photographers!).
Please bear in mind, these pictures show work over the last 30 years. Look at the variety of designs, woods and finishes. If your
ideas can be made with wood, we can probably do them.
If you have an interesting project you'd like some help with, call or write so we can begin to make your furnishing
dreams a reality.
Thank you,
Steve and Lynn Emmes |
